The men's race had a little bit of more drama. A tight group of five boys were in contention at the halfway point. The group included Seniors Jordan Wright (Marble Falls), Joseph Meade (Round Rock Stoney Point), and Esteban Villalpando (Buda Hays)

Jordan Wright took control of the race after the halfway point slowly pulling away and breaking up the pack. Joseph Meade made a strong move with about 800m to go and went past Jordan and closed very well to win the race in a quick 16:04 (5:09 pace).

The team battle was a good one. Round Rock Cedar Ridge edged out 3A #8 Giddings 74-90. Giddings looked really good today putting 3 in the top 16. The match up between 3A #8 and 3A #4 Liberty Hill never materialized as they raced in different divisions today but Giddings edged Libery Hill in total time. Total time adds up the top 5 runners times. Giddings had 1:26.40 while Liberty Hill had 1:29.45.

Winner Joseph Meade (Round Rock Stoney Point)
