The Hockaday freshman had a big race at McNeil placing 11th, and running the fastest freshmen 5K time this year of 17:53. This was the only race all year she didn't place top three in. She was the 3rd fastest finisher in the girls elite race at Marcus II. As a freshman Vaughan won the SPC North Zone Championship and went on to win the Southwest Preparatory Conference Championships. She will be a name to watch over the next three years.
