Carl Lewis is a nine-time Olympic gold medalist and eight-time World Championship gold medalist. Throughout his career, Lewis topped the 100m, 200m, and long jump record books. His Indoor long jump record of 28-10¼ set back in 1984 still stands today as the world indoor record. Today the Sports Illustrated Olympian of the Century is an Assistant Coach at The University of Houston. We talked to Lewis about the state of Texas track and field, The University of Houston Track, the Carl Lewis Invitational and more in our interview with him during the meet this past weekend.
