John Isom's back up plan to T&F is why we love the Marshall kids

John Isom of Ft. Bend Marshall is one of the top returning 400m runners in the state.  We caught up with Isom during the winter break.  Check out our Q and A with Isom.

TX MileSplit:  How did it feel having the team success you guys have had the last several years and finally winning it all last year?

John:  It really felt like a dream. Now, we just want to repeat.

TX MileSplit:  What are your goals for this season?

John:  My goals are pretty high.  For indoor, I am trying to go 21 low in the 200.  Outdoor, I am trying to go 46 in the 400m and 20 high in the 200m.

TX MileSplit:  If there is one thing we all know about Marshall, it is that you guys always have awesome and stylish uniforms.  Can you give us some insight on this year's uniforms?

John:  I honestly don't know.  It is going to be a surprise for all of us.

TX MileSplit:  What was the all-time best Christmas give you've ever received?

Isom:  The best Christmas gift I ever received was my baby brother.

TX MileSplit:  Later this year, the next super hero movie Batman vs. Superman comes out.  In the battle between the two who wins and why?

Isom:  The best super hero of all time is Superman.  The battle between Batman vs. Superman would hands down go to Superman because Batman just has money and no powers.

TX MileSplit:  If you weren't as successful in track as you are, what would be your back up plan?

Isom:  If I wasn't successful in track, it would probably still be track.  I would work until I was successful!
