Monday Minute: TAPPS State Meet Action Recap!

Check out some of the biggest highlights from the TAPPS State meet as we prepare for the UIL State Meet this weekend. Congratulations to all team champions and participants!  **NOTE: Apologies for the mix up it was Argyle Liberty Christian who ran 41.77 for the new 5A state meet record, not Dunne.**

Monday Minute Write Up
Hey everyone, welcome back to the Monday Minute! If you haven't noticed we've been counting down the days to the UIL State meet and as of today there are only three days left! But this weekend was the TAPPS state meet, and we went up to Waco to catch all the running action.

There were over 10 TAPPS State class records set! Two of the biggest were Mackenzie Frank from Dallas Bishop Dunne who set records in both the 100mH and 300mH running 13.98 and 42.56. In the 5A boys 4x100m both Argyle Liberty Christian and Dallas Bishop Dunne ran below the old state record of 42.26.
Argyle Liberty Christian posted a new time of 41.77.

The 3A boys 1600m race was one for the ages; that came down to a dive at the line. All said and done it was an exciting weekend with lots of close races and new records.

It's really got me pumped up for the UIL state meet this weekend where things are going to get crazy!! Keep it locked right here on Texas MileSplit for everything State meet related, including previews, skype chats, records, and state meet information. I'm getting pumped up just talking about it so get ready to run fast and we'll see ya here in Austin!
