Last weekend's race between Desoto and Lancaster
This week's virtual meet preview is a battle between two Texas perennial powerhouse boys programs. The virtual meet preview was motivated by the classic 4x400 battle in the video from this past weekend. Desoto and Lancaster are two Dallas area schools who are close in proximity and often times have friendly rivalries but intense match ups as this one. The two teams don't meet for district, regional, or state because they are in different classifications, so when they do match up during the season we get treated to these tasty races.
Keep in mind, this virtual meet only calculates the performances from the short outdoor season that has transpired so far. Both teams have important athletes missing who would normally score points to affect the score. For example, Lancaster's Jordan Hollis' potential points from individual events aren't calculated because he has yet to perform individually in the outdoor season. Therefore, keep in mind that the current meet preview will be a totally different story later in the outdoor season.
