Florida Sweeps 100m Sprints At New Balance Nationals Outdoor

Florida once again took center stage in the sprints on Saturday at New Balance Nationals Outdoor.

Miami Southridge High graduate and University of Miami signee Symone Mason and Plantation American Heritage High's Anthony Schwartz both earned their first national titles against quality competition, running impressive times in the process.

But for Schwartz, who was coming off injury -- and after in his last race a few weeks prior -- it was especially rewarding considering he ran a wind-legal 10.27 seconds, which was his third fastest outing of the year.

Mason ran a nearly flawless race, too, going 11.27 seconds to beat Florida's Twanisha Terry -- in her third trip to NBNO -- by .10 seconds.
