Faces and Names To Watch For Next Track Season

First, we're going to start with two girls who are already accomplished but are on their way to doing some big things.Sophomores SIENNA COLLINS and CAMILLE HARRIS are both 1A classification girls. From the results of their state meet races, they kind of go hand in hand. As mentioned, both ladies are in the same classification and they run the same events.

If you ask who Sienna Collins is, then that means you haven't been paying attention. Collins of Saltillo is the first track athlete in Texas UIL History to win a UIL state cross country championship as well as win the 800m, 1600m, and 3200m state championships all in the same season. That's right, no boy or girl has ever done that. As stated before, she just completed her sophomore season, so there is plenty of time for more opportunity for Collins to leave her mark. After state, Collins ran against the big girls in the TTFCA Meet of Champions and at the Great Southwest Outdoor Classic.

As for Harris, well she is a stud as well. On the track, the only 1A girl that could beat her was Harris. Collins took second place at state in all three of the longer events 800m, 1600m, and the 3200m. The Nueces Canyon junior to be will have plenty of chances to take down Collins as the top 1a girl and the other Texas distance stars.
