Watch Jonathan Simms Break The 10 Year Old Boys 800m Record



JONATHAN SIMMS already has several AAU Junior Olympic Games championships, but that doesn't satisfy him. Simms is taking things a step further and breaking records. This week, he has already broken the 10 yo boys 800m record with his 2:16.44. That is two seconds faster than Brandon Miller's previous 2:18.52, the same Brandon Miller that just broke the 15-16 yo AAU Junior Olympic Games record with his 1:49.87.

What's next for Jonathan Simms? Next, the Plano, Texas native will shoot for the 400m record. In the 400m prelims, Simms ran 59.79 in the to set himself up for a possible second record. Tomorrow, he will try to eclipse the four year old record of 58.91.
