Jacob Sports Interviews after 4x800 win
The Jacob Sports Authority (JSA) 13-14 year old boys 4x800 relay came out with a national title today. It all ended well, but that is not the way it started out. On the first leg, (JSA) found itself in a big time battle and after the exchange a big effort was needed to make it happen.
Nonetheless, the effort needed to make the come back was given by Cyrus Jacobs on that second leg. Jacobs' effort was noticed by the crowd and when the exchange was made, third leg ran with the realization the title was going to be possible.
The JSA anchor leg pulled through and the reality of the championship hit when he crossed the line in 8:41.06. On Saturday, JSA will look to repeat the 4x800 relay championship run in the 4x400 relay. JSA hold a top spot from Thursday's preliminary heats.
