The 2018 Jesuit-Sheaner relays are just halfway through to completion, but the fire is just getting started. If you aren't at the meet or tuning in LIVE on MileSplit, then what are you waiting on? This meet is beyond amazing and it is only going to get better through out the afetrnoon.

On the first night, we already saw an amazingly entertaining 3200m battle with Keller Central senior Eric Casarez and Lewisville Hebron senior Adam Dayani. The race came down to a sprint and when all was said and done a sub 9:20 was what it took to take the win.

Today, in the boys 4x100 prelims, we saw DeSoto drop a 40.83 4x100 relay for the #3 time in the nation. They will attack the track and the clock again in the finals with hopes of running even faster this afternoon.

That was just the beginning of things. We also saw a girls 400m prelims for the record books. Frisco Heritage senior Bailey Lear headlined a girls field that may be the fastest 400m race in the state all year, including the state met.

Some of the top girls in the state lined up for the preliminary heats and it took huge performances just to make it to the finals. Girls had to run the prelims like it was the finals just to get in. Get this, how does a 56.82 and the 2017 UIL 5A state runner up get left out? Well, that's because there was a 53.80 and two 54s and three 55s run in just the prelim races.

Wait, there is more! Glenn Bender is holding it down for the boys sprints. He ran outstanding in the prelims dropping two gems in the 200m and 400m. He dropped a US top ten 200m with his 21.33 and then a dandy 400m prelim time of 48.52. We can only ponder about what he'll do later on today.
