Reneau Tunes Up For TAPPS State Meet At Kansas Relays

TAPPS superstar distance runner and Argyle Liberty Christian senior Elizabeth Reneau returned to the Kansas Relays. With two weeks left to go until the TAPPS State track and field meet, Reneau got a nice test and some good competition before her fourth and final TAPPS state track meet.

She ran her two signature events on the track, which are the 1600m and the 3200m races. The 3200m was Friday and Reneau took third place by running 10:47.25. She then went back for more on Saturday and ran to a fourth place finish with a 5:02.34.

Reneau competed at the Kansas Relays last year and she ran just as well. She switched places in the two  events as she took third in the 1600m (4:57.59) and fourth in the 3200m (10:34.05) last year.

This summer, the Argyle Liberty Christian senior will ship off to Durham, North Carolina after graduation where she will compete at Duke University in cross country and track and field.

However, before she heads off to college, Reneau will compete in her fourth and final TAPPS state track and field meet on April 4 -5, 2018. Having already won 11 TAPPS state individual championships (4 - XC, 3, - 3200m, 3, - 1600m, 1 - 800m) she will have the opportunity to add three more wins should she elect to compete in all three events once again.
