The boys 9-10-year-old 800m run was a down-to-the-wire battle between Chase Cash and Johnson. Johnson was the leader for the majority of the race but Cash had a huge kick with 200m to go. With 100m to go Cash had taken the lead but Johnson wasn't done yet. The two gave it their all, all the way to the line where Johnson took the win in 2:37.83 with Cash just behind him in 2:42.28.
