The 2017 cross season was a magical season for Montgomery. Their girls and boys teams both qualified for the state meet and three individuals medaled.
Alec Wright was one of the leaders individually and team wise. He returns this season after an All-State ninth place finish in 15:20.21.
Montgomery moves down a classification to 5A which will make things even more convoluted, but Wright has proven that he can run with the best of the best in the state. He had a good track season with a 4:23.28 and 9:37.22 that will help him run with the 5A studs.
