Rank: #9
Name: Cole Lindhorst
School: Katy Tompkins
Graduation Year: 2020
Lindhorst kind of hit the scene as an unknown last year. That won't be happening this year. He started his freshman year off at Katy Pope John XXIII high school before transferring to Tompkins the second semester of his freshman year. He still ran to a 16:52.80 for sixth place at the TAPPS state meet.
Last season cross season he saw drastic improvements as he helped his team win a district title, regional title, and qualify for the state meet. He improved by over a minute as he ran to a 15:50 PR on the season including a 15:59 at state for 56th place.
However, track season is where Lindhorst made his presence felt. He ran 2:01.53, 4:17.14, 9:14.95 all for PRs. He ran to a sixth place finish in the 3200m at the Texas Relays then seventh in the 1600m and eighth in the 3200m at the UIL 6A state track meet. Optimism leads the imagination to wonder what kind of cross season he will have after a spring like that.
