Knight is a guy who might get a little over looked based on his location because he isn't in the metro Dallas area nor one of the other highly populated areas. However, the dude can run and he has been doing so for some time now.
He has qualified for the UIL 6A state cross country state meet every year since he's been in high school. Last year, he broke through and cracked the top ten with his third place finish and PR 15:09.90. He followed that up with two solid performances the NXR South and Foot Locker South.
Prior to the state meet, Knight reeled off six consecutive sub 16:00 runs to start the season winning them all except for the Marcus I Invitational (3rd) and the UIL 6A - Region 2 (2nd). NXR South was the only race that Knight ran over 16:00 in for the entire season.
Knight followed up his impressive junior cross season with a solid track season as well. He ran PRs in everything over 800m with his 1:59.87, 4:17.91, 9:15.01 marks.
Knight has the speed and the experience to have an outstanding 2018 season.
