Athletes compete in the 2016 Region 2-5A race
In the recent weeks, more specifically the last week, the DFW area has received approximately 24 inches of rain. Many of the parks and popular cross country courses in the area are oversaturated.
The Region 2 2A-6A cross country races are scheduled Monday 22, 2018 at Lynn Creek Park in Grand Prairie, Texas, which is included in the many parks affected by the rains in the DFW area. As of right now, no provisions or changes have been required to be made. Meet officials are keeping a watchful eye on things and exploring all possible things to ensure the best race conditions possible.
John Sauerhage, University of Texas at Arlington head coach will meet and review the course tomorrow morning. A decision of how to best proceed with the meet will be made and announced by 1:00 pm tomorrow.
