Demons' 4x200 relay gets top 8 finish at Texas Relays

 

AUSTIN, Texas – An eighth-place finish in the men’s 4x200 meter relay was the best showing in three events Saturday for the Northwestern State track and field program on the final day of the 85th annual Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays.
 
NSU, which competes at home for the only time this year next Friday in the Leon Johnson NSU Invitational, had a delegation of 20 athletes who qualified to compete at Texas. Saturday, Janae Allen finished 11th in the women’s discus with a 144-6 throw, while the Lady Demons’ 4x200 relay was 10th.
 
Trey Hatton, Quincy Davison, Dez Williams and Keenan Jackson ran the 4x200 for the Demons, whose 1:27.22 time was just ahead of BYU.
 
Angelica Kotun, Quiana Griffin, Constance Seibles and Consuela Lindsay ran 1:37.22 in a race won by LSU in 1:30.01.
