4A Boys     Photos of UIL State Track Championships   Angel Banda and Will Antkowiak really took the race out coming through the first 1600m at 4:31 with defending champion Nathan Christianson coming through in 3rd place in 4:36.  Angel really made the race as he kept pushing the pace. Angel's best coming in was 9:36. Nathan Christianson made a move at 600 to go taking over 2nd place and right on the heels of Antowiak. Antkowiak really pushed hard with 400 to go and running a 61. His time of 9:07.66 is a new 4A state record beating Logan Sherman's 9:08.14 set in 2004. Angel held on for 2nd running a 19 second personal best in 9:17.13. We recognize the top performances at the State Meet with the Txrunning All-4A Teams. We recognize the the top 28 runners with 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and Honorable Mention teams. A medal will be added to each athletes Txrunning profile.
