Best in Class- College SO ALEX ALDACO Jan 29, 2014

We thought it would a nice feature to sort College athletes by classification (SR,JR,SO, FR).  What we did was take every athlete in that database listed as a FR in any college or University in state of texas and rank them by event.

Through the Eyes of the Lion: Creating a Vision for the Future ALEX ALDACO Jan 26, 2014

Training is going very well. Yesterday, my body felt stronger during the workout.  The intensity of the workout was high but the rest was low which shows that all the training that I have been doing is finally paying off. The objective during the first couple weeks of my training was to obtain aerobic strength so I worked on my base by doing longer intervals, tempo runs and longer runs.  Now, during the last stretch of my training phase prior to  the races (this week and the next two weeks that follow) , I will be fine tuning the body (via leomanzano.com)

Galen Rupp breaks American 2-mile record ALEX ALDACO Jan 25, 2014

At the John Thomas Terrier Invite, Galen Rupp broke Bernard Lagat's indoor 2-Mile record of 8:09.49, running a blazing 8:07.41. This makes Rupp the 6th fastest indoor 2-miler of all-time behind Kenenisa Bekele, Haile Gebrselassie, Paul Koech, Hicham El Guerrouj, and Eliud Kipchoge. Behind the excellent pace work of Taylor Gilland, Patrick Casey, and Bethwell Birgen, Rupp maintained a world record pace for the majority of the race. Gilland led Rupp through the first 1600 in 4:01.6, well faster than American Record pace and near-world record pace. Here are six quick takeaways from Galen Rupp's 2-Mile American Record setting race. ... (via FloTrack)
