Ray, Morgan, & Fortner all winners down in Puerto Rico Jun 10, 2013

Three Virginia high school juniors competed this past weekend in Puerto Rico at the Caribbean Scholastic Invitational and all three came out as winners from their trip to the Greater Antilles with Hampton's Chantel Ray in the 100 meter hurdles, Cave Spring's Katie Fortner in the 1500 meter run, and Forest Park's Ricky Morgan in the 400 meter dash. All three were selected by the National Scholastic Sports Foundation for the all-expenses paid for trip.

Floridians Show Up Big At Caribbean Scholastic Invitational Jun 09, 2013

A group of six Floridians headed south to the sunshine of Carolina, Puerto Rico for the Caribbean Scholastic Invitational. They showed why they are not only the best in our state, but nationally and internationally as well coming home with five individual golds, one silver, two relay golds, and one relay silver.

Ray, Fortner, & Morgan headed to Puerto Rico for Carribean Invite Jun 05, 2013

  Three juniors from Virginia are headed to Puerto Rico this week to compete in the Caribbean Scholastic Invitational. Those three Virginia high school track athletes selected by the National Scholastic Sports Foundation (event organizers for the the New Balance indoor and outdoor nationals) include Hampton hurdler Chantel Ray, Cave Spring distance runner Katie Fortner, and Forest Park sprinter Ricky Morgan. All three will be members of a US delegation of top tier national class high school track & field athletes who will be returning to compete in 2014. Their competition will include athletes from several Caribbean nations and territories over two days on June 7th and 8th in Carolina, Puerto Rico.
