SV's Clark races to state with friendly rival Nov 7, 2013

Smithson Valley junior Devin Clark says she owes much of her success over the past two seasons in cross country to her friendly rival, sophomore Paige Hofstad of New Braunfels. Over the last two weeks, they pushed each other in unprecedented ways as each established personal records for a three-mile cross country race. At the District 25-5A meet two weeks ago, they established personal bests â€" and then shattered them at Saturday's Region IV meet at the National Shooting Complex. “I'm just going to try to stay with the same people, like Paige, and we are going to push each other the whole time and we are going to PR again,” she explained.
