Meet Information
Dear Coach:
We would like to invite you and your Cross Country teams to compete in the 29h annual Andy Wells Invitational. Each team is permitted to run 14 runners in the Varsity Division. In the Boys Sub-Varsity and Freshmen Divisions, schools will be permitted to enter 14 runners. In the Girls Sub-Varsity Division, schools will be permitted to enter 20 runners. There is no limit of entries in the Open Race. Include all possible runners on your entry form.
LOCATION - Kingwood High School Campus. The race begins on the practice football field behind the tennis courts.
TIME SCHEDULE- 7:20 a.m.-Coaches Meeting
8:00 a.m.- Varsity Girls (2.5 miles/4K)
8:30 a.m.- Varsity Boys (3 miles)
9:00 a.m.- Jr. Varsity Girls (2 miles)
9:25 a.m.- Jr. Varsity Boys (3 miles)
9:55 a.m.- Freshmen Boys (2 miles)
10:15 a.m. Boys Open Race (2 / 3 miles)
10:17 a.m. Girls Open Race (2 miles)
10:40 Open Middle School (1 mile)
Awards Ceremony
NOTE- THE VARSITY GIRLS WILL RUN 2.5 MILES/4K; ALSO THE OPEN RACE WILL DEPEND ON THE NUMBER OF ATHLETES COMPETING. WE MAY DECIDE TO ALLOW UNLIMITED ENTRIES.
COURSE DESCRIPTION- The course is 99% grass, mostly flat, and run in the woods.
ENTRY FEE- The fee for all schools will be $50.00 per team / Boys and Girls together will be $100.00 NO EXCEPTIONS.
We hope to see you at the meet. We anticipate another competitive and enjoyable event. Please fill out your intentions and mail them to us at the address below as soon as possible. We will do entries on direct athletics, please have them in by Thursday, September 18th @ 5 PM.
