Site: Kate Barr-Ross Park in Huntsville. This will be the same course as the Region III
Championships in November.
Directions: From I-45 in Huntsville take exit #118. Exit and
turn onto Highway 75. The park will be on your immediate left with the baseball fields
visible. The races will be held in the back of the park near the soccer fields.
Course: The course consists of a two-mile big loop and a one-mile inner loop with two
gravel road crossings on the big loop. THIS IS NOT A GOLF COURSE! The course is a
true cross-country course. While the footing is good, it is not being run on fairway-like
conditions and there are some rough spots. There are small ditches to be navigated as
well as terrain ranging from soccer field grass to dirt paths. Spikes are recommended.
