The Desoto Girls 4x400 Relay team broke the 6A Region I Meet record with a time of 3:41.37 and earned their bid to the UIL 6A Texas State Track & Field Meet. The runner-up team was Duncanville with a time of 3:45.82. They too will be attending the State Meet.
The previous record of 3:42.58 was set in 2016 by McKinney Boyd.
