In Her Own Words: Shamier Little

Hai guys, it's Shammmm Little. I am back from Seattle and I had a great time. I met some really cool me track friends and got to catch up with others.I played some angry birds, played some basketball, did a little dancing, ate, and slept. I hate hate hate traveling, but I love the experience of meeting new people and getting better. We got some pretty nice Brooks gear and I think it's making my Nike stuff a little jealous.

I'm all over the place, but going into the meet,  I don't know what I was thinking, but I could've sworn that track was banked. I don't know what I was thinking and I was pretty nervous about that. I was just all around nervous until the gun went off. I couldn't stop moving.

The gun goes off and I'm running my race. I'm absolutely terrible at cutting in, despite the fact that I was already in lane one. I made a little move to avoid getting spiked down, or spiking down someone. I tried to catch Precious and all I'm thinking is " the shoe, the shoe." I wasn't even thinking about time. After a while, it was like I couldn't even feel my legs. The burning afterwards was probably equivalent to giving birth. I've never ever felt that bad. Eventually I got it together, and I'm hoping I don't have the same experience at the upcoming New Balance meet. I can't wait to see a few people and run on a banked track. This time, I'm sure its banked..... I think.
