Freier has complete ownership of high school girls pole vault national records

On Saturday at the 2014 Texas Relays, Justin Northwest (Dallas, Texas) senior Desiree Freier set the high school girls outdoor national record in the pole vault with a clearance of 14'3.25" on her first attempt at the height. For the University of Arkansas recruit Freier, it was an incredible end to an historic month of March for the five foot tall vaulter that saw her set the indoor national record two weeks prior with a clearance of 14'2.75" at the New Balance Nationals Indoor in New York City. MileSplit US was on-site at the Texas Relays and got the opportunity to interview Freier after her second national record breaking performance in three weeks. After winning her first Texas Relays, Freier has her sights set on a Texas state title in over 5 weeks and qualifying for the World Junior team later this summer. Watch her video interview below.
