US #3 ALL TIME & More Fast Times at 21-22 6A!

It comes as no surprise to these teams running fast times, but putting together this many incredible races in one meet is something special. Breaking down the PA Memorial & Manvel show.

4x200m

Have to start with the race because of the historic time that was dropped by PA Memorial! They've been putting together solid relays all season, and with Corey Dauphine on the anchor they are ALWAYS dangerous. Just 24hrs after Desoto posted the fastest time in the country, Memorial kicks it up a notch running a mind blowing 1:23.84! That now ranks them #3 ALL TIME in the 4x200m, with 2 meets left (3 if they run at the Meet of Champions), can they challenge the National Record of 1:23.31 that has lasted for nearly 20 years!?

1:23.31Wyatt, Ft. Worth, Texas1998
1:23.78Glenville, Cleveland Ohio2004
1:23.92Hightower, Sugar Land, Texas2007

Not to be overlooked In this same race Manvel ran a season best 1:24.86 which moves them up to US #6.

Maybe even crazier is that their US #3 All Time mark is not safe! Right now there are 4 other teams in the state who have the ability to run sub-1:24 if they run a clean race. Desoto, FB Marshall, Lancaster, and Manvel. Could we see FIVE teams run under 1:24 this season!?

4x400m

Not to be overshadowed by the 4x200m races, just minutes after results were in showing Kingwood tying the 4x400m national lead, Manvel drops an even faster time in 3:12.76! By now you are likely aware of Coach Knowles over in FL who coaches the outstanding American HS 4x4 squad calling out Texas saying: "You chase that!" when his boys ran 3:12.86. Manvel proved to be more than up for the challenge, bringing Texas back to the National lead.

PA Memorial also ran a season best US #6 3:14.41, making that 7 Texas teams now under 3:15!

4x100m

Not done yet with fast relay times. PA Memorial ran yet another season best relay and move up to US #6 in the 4x100m running 40.91! Manvel also running a 3rd quality relay coming in 2nd with their 41.28.
