Boys 400m - Keshun Reed - John Isom - Howard Fields
Reed is back in action after a break after the state meet. He's been running a few summer track meeet 200/400s and did a pretty good job shaking off the rust this week in Chicago. After cruising through the prelims, he finished 2nd in an impressive 46.06. No small feat considering he finished runner up to Josephus Lyles who is in peak racing form coming off of a later Virginia State Meet & NBNO.
Keshun Reed has been officially confirmed for Team USA at World Youth Championships.

6 Isom, John 98 Team Usa 49.21Isom had a more interesting trip to the finals. After finishing just a few hundreths outside the Top-8 in the prelims, Isom was on the outside looking in. One of those athletes ended up being too old to compete and was DQed. Isom didn't find out until the next morning, and had to switch gears to be ready to race. While he didn't hit a PR, he was happy to get the chance to compete in the finals at a national caliber meet.
