The 2004 Indoor season started for some Universities in Texas this weekend. Texas only has two major tracks that hosts Indoor Meets in the whole state. Texas Tech and University of Houston both will host three meets this season. The University of Houston hosted their first meet this season Houston Opener. The highlight of the meet was the 3 automatic qualifying marks to the NCAA's by Raasin McIntosh and Sanya Richards both Lady Longhorns from the University of Texas and Andra Mason also from the University of Texas. In the meet there were 4 provisional qualifiers.
There were some Texas Universities in action out of state in the Oklahoma Classic this weekend. Two Texas athletes qualified with provisional marks. Super Sophomore Jeremy Wariner (Baylor) and Senior Jerry Harris (TCU).
Next week the action continues with the Texas Tech Open and Leonard Hilton Memorial at Yeomen Field House at the University of Houston.
