Tuesday Training With Ryan Yerrow: 800's, Abs, Hills and The Falcon Invitational

Tuesday Traning With Ryan Yerrow Week 5


Monday 8/29- Today we did some repeat 800's with a 2-mile warmup and cool down, felt extremely good this morning.

Tuesday 8/30- This morning I went 6 miles just under 6:30 pace as a nice little recovery from the workout yesterday. Ran 4 miles this afternoon at about 7-minute pace. With some upper body weights and abs.

Wednesday 8/31- Got in a nice and easy 10x 1 minute on 1 minute off, felt really good this morning. Got in a 2 mile warm up and cool down. Ran 3 miles this afternoon at a fairly quick pace.

Thursday 9/1- Got in a nice and easy 6 miles this morning to shake out the legs before our race tomorrow morning. No run in the afternoon. We had a team dinner instead.

Friday 9/2- Race day! Ran a 10-minute warmup before our 4K race. The race was really good. I got out to an early lead and maintained that to come out with the win in 11:48. Katy placed 1st with 31 points. Still got some work to do but I know all of us will be ready!

Saturday 9/3- Ran a good 12.5 miles on some hills this morning. Felt a little sluggish today. Still maintained a pretty fast pace though.

Sunday 9/4- Ran a nice and easy 4 miles on the treadmill this morning to shake out the legs from this week. Overall this week was really good! Had an awesome race and had a really good week of training. Now I just can't wait to race a 5k!
