The Mesquite Horn (Tx.) High girls 4x100m relay team has impressed all season long.
Entering the University Interscholastic League Class 6A Championships as the No. 1 team in Texas and the No. 3 team in the USA, expectations for the Lady Jaguars were supremely high.
But they answered the call!
Horn produced the No. 11 best girls high school performance of all-time, running 44.94 seconds. It also made them the ninth fastest girls team in the 4x100 ever.
Pushed by the entire field, Horn senior and Texas Tech signee Kaylor Harris was put in a good position by her teammates and raced to the line just ahead of Houston Cypress Springs, who also blazed a remarkable time of 45.07 seconds.
Cypress Springs' time stands as the No. 14 best all-time performance.
