Cambria Clark has no relation to Devin Clark - Last edited 8/16/17 @ 9:13 a.m.
Analysis: Last year, was actually the beginning steps of Cambria Clark marking out her path. After a very good freshman year, Clark ran a good race and a fast time at McNeil, which everyone does, but she also had good showings after that and found her momentum at the end of the season heading into the championship meets. In fact the two meets that have Clark ranked as one of our top returners are her district run with her 18:34 and her run at the UIL 6A state meet where she finished in 23rd place and in 18:29.39. At the NXN South Regional meet, she followed her district and state meet runs with a tough run against the best in the south with an 18:40.46.
Clark also had some big track performances that indicate she could really move into the state's elite. In the spring, she ran an impressive 2:17.83 for 800m, 5:05.18 for 1600m, and 11:16.04 for 3200m. With the foot speed she displayed during the track season, Clark could soon definitely be put herself in contention for 5A's best and one of the best in the state.
