This season, Grapevine ran to a second place finish at the UIL 5A state championships. They also finished the season well at NXR South and Foot Locker South. They win the popularity vote for 5A-6A team of the year with 1,078 votes for 53.45% of the vote.

If any poll was ever dominated it was this one. The guys from Austin St. Stephens tore through SPC as was expected and tore through this poll as well.
St. Stephens won the popularity poll with 1,030 votes for nearly 75% of the votes.
Boys Most Improved
The most improved boys results were CLOSE!!! With over 14,000 votes for the entire poll, Great Hearts Monte Vista and Springlake Earth battled down to the last hour. GHMV out of San Antonio is a fairly new school, but that didn't stop them from getting a jump in their cross country program and in this poll.
With over 4,7000 votes, they take the most improved title for 2017. They made the awards stand this year with their runner-up finish in 2A behind repeat boys champs Sundown.
