TX MileSplit: Can you tell me about your transition this year from cross country season to track season?

Crayton:  I took a break after XC and ran 3-4 times a week, playing a lot of basketball. During the winter I'm on my school's swim team and we're getting ready for our SPC championship this weekend.

TX MileSplit: From last season to this season, you have already shaved almost three seconds off your 800m time, after already seeing this improvement what goals do you have for this season?
Crayton: My goals for this year is to keep a balanced spectrum from the 400 to the 3200. After a great XC season, we are looking forward to defending our team Track and Field SPC title.
TX MileSplit: Can you tell me about how you felt in your race this past weekend and what goals you had specifically going into your first 800 of the season?
Crayton: Being the first race of the season, I didn't put a lot of pressure on myself, and I wanted to get out fast and see how well I could hold pace after an upbeat first lap. During the race, I tried to stay smooth as possible, and I felt pretty comfortable throughout the race.

Carrozza won the Elite Boys division at the 2017 Cedar Park Inv
