Brown will begin her sophomore season after a crazy good freshman year. Last year during cross, Brown split time running and playing soccer, but she was still able to run fast out of the gate in the first meet of the season with a 19:43.49. That was just a tell tale sight as she then went 18:18 the next week at the Marcus I Invitational. She would eventually run a 18:01.99 5K PR for the season.
While she didn't qualify for the state cross country meet, that would not deter Brown. She would gather herself for a heck of a track season as she would eventually run 2:19.61, 4:53.23 (4:53.97 mile), and 11:10.51 during the track season.
With a season under her belt, Brown will join the rest of the ridiculously talented 2021 class for their second XC season and as with the others, the expectations will be high.
