Tavares Duckett Crushed 12 Y.O.100m Record, Can He Do Again?

Texas has been bringing it all week long at the AAU Junior Olympic Games track and field championships. You name it in the field and on the track.

Dallas area youngster Tavares Duckett II did his part in holding it down for Texas in Iowa with his 100m and 200m preliminary runs. He has the fastest qualifying times in both for the 12 year old boys.

His 100m time was so fast that he became the fastest 12 year old boy in AAU meet history as he blazed a 11.67 to take down the previous record of 11.71 held by Aaron Brown-Nixon - Austin.

Today, Duckett will go for the win in the finals. Can he go even faster and lower his national record?
