Alex Maier
Flower Mound senior Alex Maier showed up for one indoor race and then exited the building. That one race left quite an impression as it was fast. He ran and won the 2 Mile at the Texas A&M High School Indoor Classic in the first weekend of the year. He has since shut it down until the outdoor season and maybe the New Balance Nationals Indoor meet.
At the time, Maier's 9:14.45 was the fastest time in the nation. As thousands of runners have since competed, the Oklahoma State University signee's time currently still holds up at #2. Oh yeah, his time at A&M was good enough to smash the meet record.
