The 15 Most Impressive Performers Of The 2019 Indoor Season

Laila Owens

Fort Bend Bush junior, Laila Owens busted out of the gates fast and early this season. At the Texas A&M High School Indoor Classic, she ran a 54.76 in the 400m to top the indoor national rankings and the meet record in the event. That time has since dropped to #4 nationally, but Owens has yet to run the open 400m since.

Last weekend, she tried her hand in the 200m at the Texas Tech Under Armour High School Classic. That resulted in more success for Owens. She won the race, but ran 23.54 for the fastest time of the year in the country. That race also placed her #15 on the All-Time Indoor List and the #2 Texan ever.
