Canyon Randall girls cross country has been one of the most consistent programs in the state of Texas. Last year, they experienced something that the program hasn't since 2009. That was to not
In fact, not only was last year the first time they didn't qualify, it would be the first time since 2012 they would not take a trophy back to Randall for one of the top two spots. Randall won state in 2013, 2014, and 2016 with runner-up finishes coming in 2015 and 2017.
This year, the girls squad is young and ready to start their streak all over again.
They could have company taking the trip to Round Rock. The Randall boys have qualified for the state meet in each of the past two seasons. Their goal is to do it again and possibly bring home a trophy themselves.
Watch as the Randall girls do a summer workout to prepare for the 2019 season. Afterwards, they meet up for smoothies and the boys squad joins them after their long run.
