Brynn Brown With Insane Sub 5 Min 4 x Mile Repeats

Although the COVID-19 pandemic has ended high school competition for the year, it hasn't stopped athletes from training.

Denton Guyer junior distance runner Brynn Brown was looking to defend her 2019 UIL 6A 1600m and 3200m state championships. She was also looking to lower her state meet record of 10:09.91.

Earlier in the year, Brown ran a PR 9:58.58 at the Coppell Relays proving she was prepared for a fast 2020 track and field season.

The UIL state meet was supposed to be today. Thousands of athletes, coaches, and fans were supposed to ascend onto Austin, Texas at Mike A. Myers Stadium, but they have prohibited from doing so. However, Brown did a killer mile repeat workout last week instead to show what could have and would have been this weekend. Brown ran 4 x 1600m repeats going sub five minutes on each rep.

Workout:
4x 1600m w/2:30 recovery - 4:52, 4:55, 4:55, 4:57
