Girls compete in the 17-18 year old 100m at the Spartan Invitational
The Spartan Invitational was the first live track and field in Texas and the first invitational with participants and spectators from around the state and across the nation.
Athletes from the Greater Austin area as well as from South Texas, San Antonio, Dallas, and Houston traveled to Liberty Hill, Texas, a town with a population of just under 2,500 residents as did many athletes from other states.
Their objective was to get some track and field action; their first major competition they would have dating back to mid March when COVID-19 would eventually end their 2020 school seasons.
