River Hill - Rockwall
What a great name, right? River Hill has such a good ring, but the Rockwall senior is more than just a cool monicker, he may in fact be living up to his last name. Hill ended 2019/2020 at heights a runner should want to be at and he did it when it's supposed to be done...junior year.
Last cross country season, he e came off a long summer where he competed deep into the summer track season. He started his cross country season on a moderate pace, but when October hit, he really started clicking. Hill dropped the fastest three times of his career at district (15:38.45), regionals (15:22.01), and state (15:21.56).
PRing every weekend during the championship season is what it's all about and Hill was living the dream going for a Top-25 finish at state. He continued that hot streak on the track when he ran PRs in the 800m (1:58.77) and in the 3200m (9:44.74) in February before COVID-19 struck the season.
Having time to rest during the summer and his senior year coming up, Hill will be running for recruitment and to end senior year in a blaze of glory at Rockwall.
