Pablo Lomeli Lluis - Round Rock Westwood
The Westwood senior is in store for a good upcoming season. Last year he had a heck of a ride both in the fall and in the spring.
He started off with a 17:04.40 on a tough Vista Ridge course on a hot and humid day, but he was soon off to the races after that. After not even making it beyond his district meet in his first year of running, Lluis dropped five 16:00 and under races throughout the season including a 15:37.36 at the UIL Region 2 XC Championships to qualify for state and then 15:57.45 in his first state competition.
Now a senior, Lluis could be the man in the ATX area and possibly become one of the state's best. He improved his times on the track to a 4:35.82 and a 9:55.57 in the shortened track season and more PRs could be waiting in the fall.
