Taylen Wise and her San Antonio Reagan track and field team have had a very successful 2021 season. Next weekend, they will continue to pursue success when they compete in Austin, Texas for the UIL 6A Track and Field State Championships.
Individually, Wise is entered in two individual events (triple jump, 300H) as well as the 4x100 relay. The junior has an opportunity to make a valuable impact for her team by scoring as many points as possible while catapulting her amongst the state's best individual track and field competitors.
We talked with Wise about her maturation over the years in the sport, taking on new events, her Reagan team, and about how big of a weekend next week will be.
