Former Allen High School sprinter Jaylen Allen passed away Tuesday morning after a car accident.
Allen was a five time Sun Belt All-Conference performer and champion recently running 46.44 to win the Sun Belt Conference Outdoor Track and Field Championships.
While still a prep in high school, Allen had PRs of 7.01 in the 60m, 21.83 in the indoors 200m, 10.50 in the 100m, and 21.06 in the 200m. He finished fifth in the 100m at the 2017 UIL 6A State Track and Field Championships.
