Kendrick Jones Jr. (Belton) is a huge talent and he briefly displayed what his 2025 fitness level looks like. The UIL 5A 200m defending state champion set his sights on the 400m at the Texas A&M Bluebonnet Inv. He won the event with a US No. 1 45.27 run, which looked like would have been a 44-second run if he wanted it to be.
Jones Jr. received 2,834 votes for nearly 71% of the overall vote. Brayden Williams (Duncanville) is a winner and gave Jones Jr. a press in the poll by receiving the second most votes with 553. Eric Rose (Leander Glenn) skied high in the pole vault to get into the poll and finished with the third most votes.
