Texas boys can pole vault with the best of them. Yes, we are known as a sprint state, but the pole vault continues to be one of the Lone Star state's strength. One of the major reasons is the club coaches. There is an unprecedented amount of knowledgeable and passionate pole vault clubs who are year-around involved in the sport.
I dare say, there is no other state with a community like the Texas pole vault community.
The bar continues to get higher (no pun intended) because of that fact and the amount of high level athletes who get the advantage of it. Taking a look at the 2025 boys pole vaulters, you'll see that 24 of the top 25 vaulters have already PRed this year.
