The 2025 UIL 4A Girls 300-Meter Hurdles final was the second act of a brilliant day for Chiora Enyinna-Okeigbo (Sunnyvale), who had already captured the 100-meter hurdle title earlier. Coming into the 300 hurdles with a state-leading time of 41.46, she carried the weight of expectation-and delivered in dominant fashion once again.

From the gun, Okeigbo established her rhythm early, gliding over the first few hurdles with precision. By the third barrier, she had already separated herself from much of the field, though Janey Baker (China Spring), running in lane eight, kept her honest. Baker's aggressive middle phase helped close the gap and set up a compelling chase over the final 100 meters.
