Sophia Belcher, a Grapevine Faith Christian junior, has her sights set on a 5A individual championship at the TAPPS State XC Championships. In 2023, she finished 24th, and last year, she moved up 19 spots to finish 5th.
In cross-country 3200m, she's No. 2 in all of TAPPS with an 11:46.12, a 26-second improvement over last year. A better diet, a more specific weight room plan, and keeping a level head about training have all led to her rapid rise up the TAPPS charts.
